As promised, we are committed to keeping our school community informed when a COVID event happens. To that end, I must report that over the weekend, I was made aware that a volleyball player exhibited multiple COVID symptoms. As such, that student is being tested and we have suspended volleyball practice.
Additionally, today, I was made aware that a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club summer program has tested positive. Given this, summer club activities have been cancelled.
As always, should you, or your child show symptoms, contact your local doctor or the Marshall County Health Department for additional instructions.

Bremen Castings is offering Bremen students free physicals for ONE DAY ONLY, taking place at the Bremen High School building this year due to the COVID environment. This one-day Free Physical offering will take place August 5th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bremen High School. No appointments are needed for this one-day event, as physicals will be walk-in only. Keep in mind, since last year’s physicals are being accepted for the upcoming school year, this offer is mostly intended for athletes who did not have a physical on file from last year. Student must be accompanied by a parent.

• IHSAA PHYSICAL FORM

Parents and Students: We know this school year is going to be different from anything else we have experienced. While you are off for your remaining Summer break, please double check your demographics (parent phone numbers, student cell numbers, addresses, email addresses, parent places of work, emergency contacts) are correct in Harmony. Cheerleaders interested in trying out, there will be a three-day cheer camp following tryouts. Camp will be held July 28th, 29th, and 30th from 5:00-8:00 pm. The focus of camp will be to review/learn the fight song, cheers, sideline chants, sideline dances, and team bonding. Cheer camp will be at Bremen High School this year.

The large school parking lot (north of the high school on Marshall Street) will be closed on Monday and Tuesday for repairs. All students and staff members are to park in the SOUTH PARKING LOT ON GRANT STREET IN FRONT OF THE HIGH SCHOOL and ENTER THE SCHOOL THROUGH DOOR #2. All screening will be held at the same location with a line forming in the band hallway.
DO NOT USE THE NEW BUS PARKING LOT ON BOWEN STREET. This area is designated for Boys and Girls Club and does not have enough designated spaces.

July 22nd from 12-7pm, the Bremen Kiwanis Club will be holding a fund raiser with Ben's Pretzels in the Woodie's parking lot. Kiwanis does a lot to help our local children, so if possible, please stop by and enjoy a pretzel!
It is our stance that we inform the public when we are made aware of a COVID-19 event in our school community. As such, I must report that a member of the girls soccer team tested positive for COVID-19. All individuals associated with the team have been notified, and practice for the team has been suspended.

Football sideline cheerleader tryouts will be the following days and times:
Monday, July 20th: 2:00-4:00
Wednesday, July 22nd: 2:00-4:00
Thursday, July 23rd: 2:00-5:00
Monday and Wednesday will be clinic days where the cheerleaders will learn a new cheer, sideline dance, and review jumps and motions. Thursday, the cheerleaders will tryout applying those skills.
Any cheerleader interested in trying out, should review the COVID Return-to-Play Bulletins on the school website. At the start of each tryout day, cheerleaders will meet at door 16 for the screening process. After the screening process, the cheerleaders will head to the track for tryouts. If weather is not promoting, tryouts will be inside BHS.

Please don’t delay! If the student makes a simple pledge to remain drug-free and maintains a GPA of 2.5 at BHS, Indiana will pay your child’s tuition to a state-supported college or university!
I would hate to see any of our Bremen students lose out on this opportunity due to not being well-informed during the current pandemic scenario. Students cannot enroll (they are not eligible) once they get into high school! You only have one week to complete this important task for your future college student!
