K-8 Parents - Changes to your child's dismissal plans - please contact the office (574-546-3554) PRIOR to 2:30 p.m. After 2:30 p.m. we will only be accepting changes if it's an emergency. We have had way too many last minute change of plans and there is too much confusion for the child and teachers and trying to locate everyone. Thank you so much for all your patience and understanding as we navigate another school year.

K-8 Parents - We are asking if your child needs to be dismissed early for any reason, you send a note with your child or call the school office prior to pickup time needed. This will result with less interruptions for the classroom and trying to call your child down to the office while you wait. You can always e-mail the teacher, however, please note that teachers don't always have a chance to check e-mails during the day, or a substitute may be in the classroom. When you are requesting your child be dismissed at a certain time, please add another 5 minutes so that gives them time to get to the office. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We are officially off and running with the 2021-22 academic year! While we are happy to be back, there have been a few COVID related speed bumps along the way. Currently, we are experiencing a few positive cases, which are causing many students to be sent home due to contact tracing. This is particularly true in our middle school. Please know that it is the Board of School Trustees hope to avoid the requirement of masks if possible. As such, the administration is working to change the class schedules to help keep our middle school students together in “pods” as much as possible to lower the contact tracing issue. Currently, one positive case generally requires twelve or more students to be excluded from school. It is our hope that these changes will substantially lower that number. It is our intention to implement this on or before next Monday (August 30th). Thank you for your continued support and patience. As a reminder, you can monitor our COVID cases through our dashboard located at the top our website's opening page at http://www.bps.k12.in.us Yours in education Dr. Jim White Proud Superintendent Bremen Public Schools

Cursive text saying together, we've got this!
We are asking for your help in reducing the number of COVID positive cases in our building, which will also help reduce the amount of contact tracing that would be needed. Before each school day please monitor your child for these symptoms: headache, runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever, lose of taste or smell. If your child has 2 or more of these symptoms please keep them home. If you have any questions regarding your child's symptoms please feel free to call the nurse at 574-546-3554. Facial coverings are also highly recommended. Please do your part to keep our students and staff safe.

Just a reminder, Breakfast and Lunch will be no charge this coming school year. USDA issued pandemic flexibilities for schools through June 2022. We will continue to provide safe, healthy meals free of charge to children as the pandemic continues to threaten the food and nutrition of our most vulnerable. Also any student that needs a meal modification due to a child's physical or mental impairment, must have a Special Dietary Needs Medical Statement Form and must be signed by a Physician/Medical Authority before any meal accommodations will be made. If you have any questions, please contact astouder@bps.k12.in.us or 574-546-3554

Tomorrow morning please perform a health screening on your student and please keep them home if they are ill. Masks are recommended but not mandatory. However, due to federal guidelines, all bus riders will need to wear masks while on the bus. Remember, we are all in this together so, let's have a great year!
