Class of 2022 Commencement Information

This information was given to the senior class today. Attached is an image of the flyer:

Commencement 2022
will occur on Friday, May 27th @ 7:00 p.m. in GYM B.  There will also be a short (20 minute), optional,
Baccalaureate service at 6:00 p.m. (prior to Commencement) in The Bowen
Auditorium for graduates and their friends & family members.  Graduates should come dressed in their grad cap & gown.  Be sure to dress appropriately under the cap & gown -- no shorts, jeans, tennis shoes, or flip-flop sandals!  Girls should wear a
nice dress, pant suit, dress slacks & blouse.  Guys, no tie is required, but wear nice dress
pants and a good dress shirt with a collar. 
Bright colors should be checked to insure they are not visible through
the white gowns.  Do not carry or place signs/decorations on your cap & gown or you will be directed to change clothing and/or remove items. Tassels should be worn on the right side of your cap.  Senior ladies will hold a small bouquet
of floral stems in the hand away from your walking partner (who will be chosen
for you).  Encourage your family to watch the dignified ceremony silently/respectfully so that everyone can hear the
speaker at the podium.

Graduation Practice

  • will be held Fri., May 27th at 10:00 a.m. in Gym B.
  • THIS IS MANDATORY!  Please make arrangements now to attend.

 

Graduation Day

  • Baccalaureate (optional) will begin at 6:00 p.m. in The Bowen Auditorium on Fri., May 27th.
  • Be in the BHS cafeteria by 6:30 p.m. on May 27th dressed in your cap & gown.  Do not bring valuables with you, and no relatives are permitted to be in this preparation area.
  • Graduates will begin lining up in the link hallway at 6:45 p.m.
  • At 6:55 p.m., Seniors move to the north/south entrances of Gym B.  Female Seniors in the Band/Choir must quickly acquire their bouquet and then find their place in line (after performing at 6:30 p.m. prior to the ceremony).
  • The ceremonial processional will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.  Please walk slowly, take your opposite gender partner by the arm, and smile.  Gym doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and all guests must be seated in Gym B by 7:00 p.m.
  • After the 90-minute Commencement ceremony, all Seniors will exit Gym B to the northwest, join a designated driver in their decorated vehicle (parked strategically northwest of BHS), and be led downtown.

 

 

 

 

 


Info for your Family

 

Tickets are not needed for the Fri., May 27th events at BHS!

Following the Commencement ceremony, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a parade of the graduates’ decorated vehicles  (safely driven by family members so that the graduates can wave to spectators) will occur through downtown Bremen and end at Jane’s Park for hugs & photos.  Vehicles will need to be parked west of BHS
