"I am a first-generation, non-traditional student currently attending Indiana University School of Medicine. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at IUSB and, God willing, will graduate with my Doctor of Medicine in May 2026 before beginning a Family Medicine residency.
I was drawn to family medicine after witnessing the compassion and dedication of our local physicians who serve the Bremen community. Throughout my higher education, my amazing husband (Gustavo) and I have remained in Bremen. We are raising our four children here, two of whom attend Bremen Public Schools. We are deeply grateful for the support of our family and community.
The education I received at Bremen Public Schools laid the foundation for my journey. I remember struggling with the English language and being encouraged by teachers like Mrs. Sheila Reed, whose belief in me as a fourth grader made a lasting impact.
To anyone considering higher education, I would encourage you to trust God’s plan, remain persistent, and never doubt your calling. It is never too late to pursue the path placed before you."
